FAQs
What is a POS (point of sale)?
A POS, or point of sale, is the system a business uses to complete transactions with customers. It’s where items are sold, payments are taken, and transactions are recorded. In short, a POS is the central system that runs the day-to-day business at the counter—from the moment a customer walks in to the moment the transaction is complete. With Bravo, the POS isn’t just where transactions happen, it’s the hub for sales, marketing, communication, and customer loyalty, all working together to grow your business beyond the counter.
What are the benefits of using a point of sale?
A point-of-sale system helps businesses process transactions faster, reduce errors, and stay organized by keeping sales, inventory, and customer information in one place. It improves daily efficiency, provides clearer visibility into performance, and gives owners better control over operations. Ultimately, a POS helps businesses serve customers more smoothly and make smarter decisions.
Do I have to sell online to use Bravo?
No. You can use Bravo as your point of sale without selling online at all. Online selling options are available if and when you want them, but they are never required.
Can I choose in-store pickup only?
Yes. You can choose in-store pickup only. Many stores use online listings strictly to drive foot traffic while keeping the sale and handoff inside the store.
Why do Bravo’s eCommerce options work better than competitors?
Bravo’s eCommerce is built directly into the point of sale—not bolted on. Inventory, pricing, availability, and fulfillment stay perfectly in sync, so you avoid double entry, double selling, and missing inventory.
What is omni commerce?
Omni commerce is a fancy term for managing in-store and online sales as one connected operation. With Bravo, items are listed once and sold across in-store and online channels without managing separate systems.
What are the fees?
Fees vary by marketplace. There are no listing fees or category or speicl item fees on Buya or UsedGuns. You only pay a small commission when something sells, and you ship the item. Buya’s final value fee is 11% and UsedGuns final value fee is 8%.
Why do I pay fees?
We set out to create free marketplaces where you get thousands of eyes on your inventory. Fees help pay for the technology and traffic. That includes the ongoing work required to keep your online selling reliable and effective. This includes product development, quality assurance, secure hosting, and the cost of maintaining and improving high-traffic marketplaces. Fees also fund Google advertising that drives real buyers to your listings.
What is the average return rate?
Return rates vary by category and by marketplace, but Buya returns are the lowest we’ve ever seen at 2%. Clear item descriptions, real photos, and in-store pickup options help keep returns low.
Can I integrate with Shopify, WooCommerce, or other selling sites?
No. We believe sales and no additional effort are the 2 most important factors for a small business to sell online. So instead of managing, designing, customizing, and listing in multiple places, we give you a proven design that you can personalize with your branding. It's why websites with Bravo look a certain way. We've studied the best online brands. We've helped thousands of small business owners grow their customer base with our websites.
Do you have a wish list for my customers?
Yes. Favorites are wish list items that your customer has marked. This makes it easier for them to come back, compare, and purchase later—online or in store. If an item is out-of-stock, they are automatically notified that it is back in stock. No extra effort from you. More sales. More happy customers.
Can I choose which items go online?
Yes. You decide which items are listed online. You can choose by category or item-by-item. Plus, you can change those settings anytime.
What happens if an item sells in-store first?
If an item is sold in-store, it is automatically removed from online listings. Inventory stays synced, so you don’t double-sell or have to manage listings manually. If an item sells before you are able to remove it from your flow, we give you the flexibility to choose if you want to honor your online buyer or the one standing in front of you.
How do I list on these sites?
You list items a single time inside Bravo. From there, eligible inventory is automatically or hand-selected to post to your own website, Buya, UsedGuns, Guns.com, and/or eBay. You never have to re-enter data, navigate through dozens of dropdowns, manually categorize, or manage separate listings.
How do I fulfill in Bravo?
Fulfillment is managed directly in the point of sale. Bravo tracks orders, pickup status, shipping (when enabled), payments, completion, and returns. Nothing needs to be handled outside the system.
Do you do dropshipping?
No. Drop shipping often creates thin margins, pricing conflicts, and poor customer experiences. Many distributors don’t enforce MAP pricing consistently, which can expose sellers to pricing violations, account shutdowns, or unhappy customers when orders can’t be fulfilled as expected Instead, Bravo
