Welcome and Bravo Overview0:05

Rachel: Welcome, everyone. My name is Rachel. I'm the Director of Marketing here at Bravo. I'm joined by Taylor and Christy, who are our Bravo experts of the day. Thank you all for joining us. We're here to talk about push notifications and how to unlock the power of push notifications as a simple, cost effective alternative to text messaging.

Rachel: I also would like to call out that our new EVP, Paul Samford, is on this call too. He's our new EVP of Product and Engineering. He's getting more plugged in here at Bravo, and y'all will get to see more of him and meet more of him in the coming months. He's been an incredible asset to us already.

Rachel: Bravo was established in 2010. We've positioned ourselves as industry leaders with over a decade of experience helping pawn and firearms dealers. We pride ourselves on innovative technology, including pioneering the use of mobile apps and push notifications in these industries, and on providing solutions that meet the needs of our customers' businesses and customers.

Text Messaging Challenges and Push Notification Benefits1:48

Text messaging has become a staple for many businesses, but registration has become a challenge. Text message providers decided to clean up the landscape because of bad actors sending messages consumers did not want to receive. Businesses must now register before using text messaging for customer marketing or reminders.

When registration reviewers look at companies, they look at websites and Facebook pages. If they see something they do not like, registration can fail, and there are no set rules or regulations explaining why. Removing firearms from a website or using an official legal name on paperwork has helped some customers register, but if a legal name includes loan, pawn, or gun, registration can fail.

Once registered, businesses still face restrictions around what they can send, when they can send it, and consent requirements. Text messaging costs seven cents through Bravo, while push notifications cost two cents, a five cent difference per communication.

With Bravo push notifications, there is no paperwork to fill out or website to change. As long as you are a Bravo customer, Bravo does not read or filter your content, and you can use words including firearm, gun, ammo, loan, and pawn. Push notifications cost 71% less than text messages and can be used for promotions, reminders, and updates.

Message Templates and Marketing Reports6:25

Bravo created templates to help customers get started. The reports segment customers broadly, including loan customers for pawn brokers and layaway customers. Users can customize the templates, save them, and use them repeatedly.

Bravo also created 50 ready to use message templates for pawn shops and retail FFLs. Users can add their branding and send them to customers.

The 50 templates were created with AI. The example used Gemini to request 50 push notification messages for pawn brokers and FFL retailers that offer loans, buys, layaways, repairs, and consignments. Users can use AI to create additional messages based on their own business and offerings.

Sending a MobilePawn Campaign9:09

Taylor: In Bravo, go to the Customers tab, select Ad Hoc Reporting, and then go to Saved Reports. Select Core Customer Identifiers to populate the report.

Taylor: To run a responsible gun ownership campaign, make sure the report is showing everyone with MobilePawn activated. Select customers, choose Send Mobile Message, select MobilePawn, set the event date and time, and paste in the message template. The message can be customized, including adding a 10% discount, before sending it.

Taylor: To send the message to every customer on the list, select Control A and choose Send Mobile Message. That sends the message to everyone on the list.

Loan Bump Customer Targeting12:04

Taylor: To create a loan bump report from scratch, select the status and pull everyone who is currently on loan. Reports are customizable, so you can use the column chooser to add estimated resale value.

Taylor: Comparing the loan amount with estimated resale value helps identify loans with equity. For example, a customer may have a $200 loan on an item valued at $600, creating an opportunity to offer another $100 on the loan.

Taylor: Filter the list for customers with MobilePawn activated, select specific customers, and send the loan bump message. The example message says, "Hey, come in for a loan bump and get the extra funds you need today."

Users can review an item's details or switch to customer view and open contact history. This helps them see whether a customer was recently contacted and review messages that were sent, so they can avoid over messaging customers.

Firearm Layaway Marketing Reports17:02

Taylor: To reach customers who previously put a firearm on layaway, build a report for customers whose layaways are paid and picked up, then add criteria for the firearm category. Filter the results for customers with MobilePawn activated.

Taylor: Select customers individually or select the entire list, choose Send Mobile Message, select MobilePawn, set the date and time, and customize the message. The message can announce new arrivals and mention a customer's favorite firearm, including a pistol.

Taylor: Once an ad hoc report is customized with useful columns, save the layout and name it, such as Layaway Marketing. Reports and layouts can be kept private, shared storewide, or shared companywide. Saving the report with its layout lets users reopen it later without recreating the layout.

MobilePawn Results and Customer Savings22:47

Rachel: Bravo's ROI reports compare customers using the feature with customers not using it. Customers had to be on Bravo for a full 12 months and have taken at least 50 layaway or loan payments in the previous 12 months to be included in these numbers.

Rachel: Pawn brokers offering MobilePawn, which is how push notifications are delivered through the app, were doing 28,000 plus more transactions. Some pawn brokers in the network take up to 50% of monthly payments through the app.

Rachel: On average, an in store loan had an age of 58 days, while a MobilePawn loan had an average age of 168 days. Customers using MobilePawn saw a $70,000 increase in loan balance last year, while those not using it had a flat loan balance. MobilePawn users also sold an extra $200,000 plus dollars.

Rachel: Customers may make a payment in the app and then select the shopping button, or make a payment and put something on layaway. Customers love layaways but dislike driving to the store to make payments.

Rachel: Bravo calculated that MobilePawn saved consumers 1.3 million hours last year based on a 20 minute round trip to a pawn shop. It also calculated $2.6 million collectively saved in time and gas, and 1.7 million gallons of gas saved based on a 10 mile round trip.
