Authentication works best as a defined checkpoint, not an improvised reaction after an employee has already negotiated a number with the customer.
A strong workflow tells the team which items require review, who can approve the transaction, where the result is documented, and what to say while the customer waits. Entrupy remains a separate service throughout this process. Bravo customers receive access through the partnership, but the authentication does not happen inside Bravo.
Step 1: screen the item before discussing a final offer
Start with the category, brand, condition, identifying details, and the customer's account of where the item came from. Confirm that the item falls within the authentication service's supported categories before promising a result.
If the store uses value thresholds, apply them consistently. A familiar brand or a confident customer should not be the reason an employee skips the process.
Step 2: explain the pause clearly
Tell the customer that the store authenticates selected luxury items as part of its standard buying process. Avoid accusing the customer or declaring the item counterfeit before the review is complete.
A neutral explanation protects the relationship: the store verifies high-value items before making a final decision, and the same standard applies to everyone.
Step 3: run the Entrupy check separately
An authorized employee follows Entrupy's instructions from a smartphone. Setup, supported categories, pricing, submission requirements, results, and support are handled by Entrupy.
Do not describe this step as a Bravo screen, Bravo feature, or automatic connection. The partnership gives Bravo customers Entrupy access; it does not place Entrupy inside the Bravo point of sale.
Step 4: review the result and finish the store's decision
The authentication result is one input. The store still decides whether to buy or lend based on condition, value, ownership and identification checks, local requirements, and its own risk policy.
If the result does not support the transaction, use a calm, factual explanation and follow the store's decline procedure. The companion guide on counterfeit conversations gives employees language for that moment.
Step 5: document the check and prepare for resale
Keep the result or certificate with the store's supporting transaction records according to policy. When the authenticated item is listed for resale, the certificate can help a prospective buyer understand what verification was performed.
Keep the listing accurate. State what the certificate covers, avoid turning it into a broader condition or value guarantee, and preserve the original supporting record.
