Frequently asked questions
What is the point of sale switching cost calculator?
It is a free tool that estimates the real cost of leaving your current point of sale system and moving to Bravo. You enter a few details about your store and current software, and it breaks down one-time costs like data migration and hardware against the ongoing savings you can expect. It is built for pawn shops, gun stores and FFL dealers, jewelers, and shooting ranges.
Does switching point of sale systems cost anything up front?
Most stores have some one-time costs when they switch, such as data migration, new hardware where it is needed, and staff training time. Bravo's onboarding team handles the migration from your old system and the setup, and the calculator shows these one-time costs next to the monthly savings so you can see the true net cost of switching.
Will I lose my data when I switch to Bravo?
No. Bravo's onboarding team migrates your customers, inventory, transaction history, and firearms records, including your A&D book, from your old point of sale system. The goal is a clean cutover with your history intact so you stay audit-ready from day one.
How long does it take to switch to Bravo?
Most stores are fully live on Bravo within a few weeks. The onboarding team plans the cutover around your business, handles data migration and hardware, and trains your staff so the transition does not interrupt day-to-day sales. Multi-location operators roll out store by store on a schedule that fits them.
Is the switching cost calculator free to use?
Yes. The calculator is free and there is no obligation. You get an instant estimate on screen, and you can request a personalized demo if you want Bravo to walk through the numbers for your specific store.
How accurate is the switching cost estimate?
The calculator gives a realistic estimate based on the details you enter and typical costs for stores like yours. Your exact numbers depend on your data, hardware, and store count, which Bravo's team confirms during a demo. It is designed to give you a credible starting point, not a binding quote.
Can I import my old A&D book?
Yes. Bravo's onboarding team migrates your existing A&D book and firearms history into the electronic A&D book, so your acquisition-and-disposition records carry over intact and you stay audit-ready through the switch.
Can I migrate from paper records to electronic records?
Yes. Bravo helps dealers move from paper A&D books and paper 4473s to electronic records. The onboarding team brings your historical data into the system and sets up the digital 4473 and electronic A&D book, so new transactions are captured electronically from cutover.
Can I migrate from FastBound, Orchid, AIM, Celerant, or another system?
Yes. Bravo regularly migrates dealers from other FFL and point of sale systems, including FastBound, Orchid, AIM, and Celerant. The onboarding team maps and imports your customers, inventory, transaction history, and firearms records so you do not start from scratch.
What happens to my old 4473s when I switch?
Your completed 4473s remain your records and must be retained per ATF rules. Bravo's team works with you to bring firearms history into the new system during migration, and any paper 4473s you keep stay valid. Going forward, new 4473s are captured digitally in Bravo.
How quickly can my staff be trained, and what support is included?
Most stores are live within a few weeks, and staff training is part of onboarding so your team is comfortable before cutover. Bravo includes ongoing customer support after you go live, so help is available as new situations come up at the counter.
