Human Resource Generalist

Position Description:

As our Human Resource Generalist, you'll collaborate with business leaders to support Bravo’s employees and to build strategies that foster our incredible culture. You will run the daily functions of the HR department including payroll, hiring, and interviewing staff, administering benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Initiate, set-up and own company culture initiatives and programs
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.  
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
  • Process of payroll in multiple states as well as international
  • Perform benefits management, including open enrollment for insurance programs
  • Perform tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Must have incredible time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when needed. Must be trusted to act with confidentiality and integrity. Must be hungry to make an impact and driven by the opportunity to be influential in an organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Previous payroll experience, required  
  • 3+ years human resource management experience, preferred
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Multi-state and international payroll experience
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience in remote environment which includes various states and multiple countries
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS systems
